Wayne Gretzky’s No. 99, unveiled at its newly renovated home in Vineland

As we waited patiently, for the Great One to arrive, well… some more patiently than others, as my son Mike has made hockey his life and ours too, for sixteen years: he just made Junior A, we enjoyed the casual and friendly ambience of the newly renovated Wayne Gretzky Estate Winery.  While sipping on his wines, Susanne and I concurred that we’d give both wines a 99! True to form, the wines had great character and finesse, just what one might expect; no bullying here from too much body or high alcohol content; the wines were straight shooters, with the fruit coming forward, showing great varietal character, wonderful balance and good length. He shoots, he scores again. Way to go Wayne! There to share a few words too were Peter and Laura Jensen, partners with Wayne.  Two wonderful and warm great Canadians, who are excited not only about No 99, but also about the Wayne Gretzky Foundation, with every bottle sold helping the less fortunate children.
