Viognier is one of the most fascinating white grape varieties,since it is one the few that best performs in warm areas like the Colchagua Valley. Viognier, with its rich and concentrated palate and at the same time delicate fruity aromatics, is a wine with a lot of personality. In order to avoid a bitter aftertaste, the grapes need to ripen and be picked very late in the season, when most white varieties are already loosing their leaves. This leads to higher alcohol levels, that integrate very wiell with its body. Although the grapes taste fantastic, one needs to have “nerves of steel”, since the vineyard looks pretyy awful at that time of the year.
