Wayne Gretzky Foundation Creed; Put Every Kid in the Game http://www.gretzky.com/foundation/
Perhaps the most famous coaching advice in all of hockey came from Walter Gretzky. He told his son not to focus on where the puck is, but where the puck is going. That's good advice for life too. The puck is going to our kids. Our future. Hockey is our game. It promotes fitness and personal development. That's why the Wayne Gretzky Foundation is focused on putting hockey and well being within every kid's reach. It's not just about equipping kids for hockey. It's about equipping kids for life. You're guaranteed to miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take. Every kid deserves a shot. Let's put every kid in the game.

Be sure to join us this week as we welcome all the way from Australia, Chris Hatcher Chief Winemaker of Wolf Blass www.wolfblass.com . We'll explore the wines and regions of down under as well as the meaning of the tiers and colours of Wolf Blass with the #1 selling Cabernet Sauvignon in the country. And from Mixed Grill of O'Conner Catering www.mixedgrillcatering.com located in Oakville, Ontario Executive Chef David Wilson prepares an array of amazing delicacies to pair with these world class iconic wines of Australia.
'My wines are sexy. They make weak men strong and strong women weak.' These words -- of a true marketer, ahead of his time -- were spoken in 1974 by Wolf Blass. His biography, incisively written by Elizabeth Johnston, has been released to celebrate 75 years of the life of one of the most influential characters in the modern Australian wine industry. It's a very fitting tribute.

Toronto, June 4th, 2010: The 19th Annual LCBO Charity BBQ held at Queen's Quay in support of Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer.
From $500.00 nineteen years ago to today's total of over $130,000 raised, what a tremendous success thanks to the LCBO and to the generosity of local food and beverage purveyors as well others. Congratulations to everyone.
Toronto June 4th, 2010:
It's not about drinking more, it's about drinking better, announced Dimi Lezinska, Grey Goose Global Ambassador.
Grey Goose www.greygoose.com vodka is considered the world's favourite luxury vodka. Made in Cognac, France it is often the choice of vodka aficionados, the who's who and celebrities of the world. Just back from Cannes, France, Dimi was here in Toronto as part of his cross-Canada tour bringing knowledge of this summer's hottest cocktail trends and tips. We were invited to a private tasting at Kultura Restaurant www.kulturarestaurant.com Friday afternoon to enjoy Dimi's latest cocktail creations for the summer made with GREY GOOSE® L'Orange Flavoured Vodka, GREY GOOSE® La Poire Flavoured Vodka, and GREY GOOSE® Vodka. All of these vodkas are available in Ontario at the LCBO ( $46.95 per bottle)
A very handsome, tall man and dressed as only the French know how, we were struck by Dimi's charm, karisma and depth of knowledge. He is a true master of his craft, a "cocktail curator" who specializes in the fine art of mixology. Not surprising, as we later discovered that Dimi is a celebrity in his own right having achieved international recognition as the co-host of the Discovery Channel's hugely popular "Cocktail Kings," a guide to some of the best cities in the world and the cocktails to enjoy in their most stylish bars, restaurants and hotels and seen on TV in over 50 countries.
We tried a stunning array of elegant, delicious and simple to make at home cocktails for any entertaining occasion."As The Wine Ladies", Dimi announced, "I must first make you my GREY GOOSE® Moonlight Martini made of course with red wine." We were simply delighted that he had created a special cocktail that would combine this prestigious vodka with our usual beverage of choice. We were not disappointed, as the appearance, taste and aroma of this cocktail tantalized our various senses to create an unforgettable experience. We agreed with Dimi as he announced that "any better would be simply unbearable".
GREY GOOSE® MOONLIGHT MARTINI
1 Part GREY GOOSE® L'Orange Flavoured Vodka
1 Part freshly pureed blackberries
∏ Part fresh lemon juice
1/3 Part sugar syrup
1 Part Red Wine
Fill a cocktail shaker with all ingredients. Add ice and shake vigorously until shaker beads with sweat. Serve in a chilled martini glass and garnish with orange zest.
Tip: Try making this cocktail with different wines, including a rich Pinot Noir and Malbec.

The secret is finally out! Swiss wines really rock!
We were invited to City Winery in New York City by Chandra Kurt wine writer and author to witness a remarkable and historical wine adventure. We brought our cameras and The Wine Ladies TV show to the heart of Manhattan to witness the bottling of two barrels of Switzerland's finest wines from the Valais wine growing region, from two different wine producers Provins-Valais and Jean Rene Germanier.
These wines were shipped over a year ago and were patiently waiting for their bottling here in the big apple at the City Winery.
Now we knew this was a very special moment because only 2% of Swiss wines ever leave the country. So the secret is finally out, because as we discovered Swiss wines are wonderful and very special.
