So okay, I’m looking at a winemaker, a lady of course, in keeping with our radio show’s theme today… Extraordinary women of wine , food and politics! She has been with this winery since 1986…. Now that’s having legs, excuse the pun… and for the last 13 years has been the head winemaker… The winery… one of the first wineries in NapaValley.. dating back to 1875 is Beringer…. And the winemaker is Laurie Hook. My wine pick the Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Susanne and I had a chance to taste this wine with Jerry Comfort, ll a number of years ago, and it left an indelible impression on my palate… so here it is again.
From Sonoma’s Knights Valley full bodied, seductive nose of ripe blue and black berry, full intense fruit flavor, good acidity and lasting finish… hmm hmm good!
