Honey wine and Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Liqueur
Watch The Wine Ladies TV!
It will be a honey of a TV show this week as we speak with William Roman, Operations Manager and “beekeeper” at Rosewood Estates Winery sharing his passion for his wines, his honey wines and his honey. While Brad Fletcher of Brown-Forman treats us to the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Liqueur. New on the market great straight, neat or on ice. Jack Daniel’s is the oldest registered distillery in the U.S. local favourites launches this week. Now we know where that expression “busy as a bee” comes from, Did you know that one honey bee will visit 1 million flowers to produce a pound of honey? This bee will fly the distance of 4 times around the world to give you one ounce of honey. Amazing creatures!

Rosewood Estates Winery
Update April 2018
Afternoon fun tasting honey wine made on the bench with Rosewood Estates Winery.

Rosewood Esates Winery with Sommelier and Consultant Robert W Paul
First up on the roster the 2016 Mead Blanc a blend of Gewürztraminer juice and estate honey. Loved the freshness of the wine with lovely notes of lychee and wildflower. Royalty was next with the Mead Royal, a wine made strictly with honey. The bees have been working overtime creating this lovely wine. A unique semi-sweet traditional mead fermented from Niagara Escarpment Wildflower Honey. Notes of honey round out the pallet before leading to a long-lingering finish. And finally, the 2015 Legacy Cyzer a wine inspired by Eugene ,R. W. Roman’s son. Using R.W.R’s original recipe, the winemaker recreated his Cyser by co-fermenting apple juice & estate honey. Refreshing acidity. All unique and truly a pleasure to imbibe.
All wines sold at the winery or on line.
